The deer population in Connestee Falls Development has posed a historically manageable challenge for years. This year, however, I have witnessed the deer eating plants that are “rarely damaged”. All of the leaves of a bottlebrush buckeye, smoke tree, beauty berry and more have been devoured.

At this point, if you reside in CF or surrounding area, I would recommend to only plant A rated plant material on the Rutgers Deer Resistant Plant list.

Historically I have had luck with DEER OFF® WATERPROOF DEER REPELLENT STATIONS – 6 PACK and sometimes we have needed to use another product along with it.
